Welcome to Kosy K9's Boarding Kennels.

Hi all, just to let you know that at the moment we have no space available over the Christmas/New Year period, though we are putting names onto a waiting list. Space does become available at different times as plans are changed, so don't be put off contacting us to discuss your holiday plans.

Our holiday hours for 2013 - 2014 are now updated, please note the days were are closed or have limited opening hours.

We are an AsureQuality approved Boarding Kennel operation halfway between Kaiapoi and Rangiora, North Canterbury, run by Paul and Erica Abelen-Freeman. (view location map)

Together we have been breeding and showing Border Collies, Australian Shepherds and Corgis for the last 9 years, though Paul has been involved for a lot longer than that.

We have a 10 acre lifestyle block just outside Rangiora on which we raise boer goats, chickens and our children. We decided to build the Boarding Kennels as an extension of our love for animals, especially dogs.

Our aim is to provide cosy, comfortable and relaxed facilities so that your pet feels at home.

The AsureQuality Pet Boarding Approval Programme is independent proof that your pet's home away from home is committed to high standards of animal welfare.

Check out our Gallery page where photos of our kennels and guests will be updated regularly.

Also have a look at our More Info page for items of interest and testimonials. I will try to update this regularly. At present there are two fantastic books that I recommend for any dog lover. They are by Cesar Milan (the Dog Whisperer).

If you would like a wonderful keepsake of your dog (or other family pet), then check out the link to the website "Drawn to Nature". The artist, Justine, is incredibly talented and her artworks are amazing. I reccomend a look at her website.

Check us out on Facebook  while you are away. I will try and post pictures of what your precious pooch(es) are up to on their holiday.

Yet another service we have on offer is, DOGGY DAYCARE. If you are going to be away from home for the day and would like your precious pal to have some company, then drop them into us for the day or if you would just like your furry friend to have a bit more of social life, then this is the place for them. At present we have a number of daycare dogs that come for a visit and they really enjoy their stay with us.
